Caribbean Poker Rules and Pointers

Internet poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several types on the earliest poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the casino instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or other types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the croupier declares "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers receive five cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank’s initial card, you need to either make a call wager or give up. The call bet’s amount is akin to your beginning ante, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantaneously to the casino. After the wager is the conclusion. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, plus a sum equal to the original wager. If the bank does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the bank’s hand. The house pays out money even with your bet and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
