Amateurs Schemes for Double-Hand Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a cutting-edge game with old ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the west in an excellent game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the house, unlike nearly all other poker games that gamblers play against other players. By playing against the dealer, new players don’t need to worry about any other, more experienced gamblers taking their money.

An additional Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game play, novices are able to take their time and plan while not having to make hasty choices.

It’s also easier to bet on for an extended time with just a small amount of cash since, to lose, each of your hands must be lower than both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card basic deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned seven cards face up and the croupier is given seven cards face down.

One 5 card hand and one 2 card hand must be made from the seven cards, the five card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the dealer’s.
