Ah, the poker steam. If a poker gambler states at no time to have stared faced down the barrel of an upcoming steam – they are either lying or they have not been wagering long enough. Hands which commonly cause people go on tilt are hands that you were the favored or at a minimum believed you were until you were hit and you squandered a big portion of your bankroll. Awful defeats are going to happen. Face that fact right now, I will say it once again – if your brother enjoys cards, if your parents play cards, if your grandparents enjoy cards – We all have bad losses at some point. It is an inevitable outcome of competing in Texas Holdem, or in reality any kind of poker.
After all we are assumingly (most of us) in the game for one purpose – to acquire $$$$, it will make sense that we will gamble accordingly to maximize our profit potential. Now let’s say you are up one hundred dollars off of a $100 deposit, and you suffer a gigantic hit in a NL game and your stack is at one hundred and twenty dollars. You’ve burned eighty dollars in a round where you were certain to pick up $200two hundred dollars when you decided to go all-in on the flop and enjoyed a ten to one edge. And that guy! He banged you out on the river? – Well stop right there. This is a classic choice for a brand-new gambler to start tilting. They basically burned too much money on one round that they really should have won and they’re pissed
