Caribbean Poker Rules and Tricks

Poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years many variants on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the casino instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little concealment or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up just before the croupier announcing "No more bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players attain five cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you need to either make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your original wager, which means that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantaneously to the house. After the wager is the face off. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, plus an amount on par with the initial bet. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The dealer pays money equal to your ante and fixed odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
