Caribbean Poker Rules and Tricks

[ English ]

Web poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years numerous types on the earliest poker game have been created, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or other kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the dealer announcing "No further wagers." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players are given 5 cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you must either make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s amount is on same level to your original bet, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Abandoning means that your bet goes instantly to the dealer. After the wager is the showdown. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, plus a sum equal to the initial wager. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The casino pony’s up chips even with your bet and controlled odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
